The Botanical Garden Orange Blossom Necklace

Throughout history Orange Blossom flowers have symbolized purity, innocence, chastity and fertility.  In 1684 Louis XIV transferred Orange Trees from Fontainebleau to Versailles and fond of their sweet scent and gorgeous white flowers, installed them in his Orangerie. He insisted that even in the middle of January baskets of Orange Blossoms perfume the rooms. Because they partly symbolize fertility, the flowers have been considered ideal adornments for brides.

The Orange Blossom Necklace is masterfully created and rendered from a cast of the actual specimen of Orange Blossom. Made from hand patinaed bronze with white and gold freshwater pearls.

Approximately 18" long.
