The Botanical Garden Orange Blossom Brooch

Throughout history Orange Blossom flowers have symbolized purity, innocence, chastity and fertility. In 1684 Louis XIV installed Orange Trees in Versailles’ Orangerie, fond of their sweet scent and gorgeous white flowers. He insisted that even in the middle of January baskets of Orange Blossoms perfume the rooms.

The Orange Blossom Brooch is masterfully created and rendered from a cast of the actual specimen of Orange Blossom. Made from hand patinaed bronze with white and gold freshwater pearls.

Approximately 3" long.
